Choosing the right Training Gear Makes All the Difference. And Here a Just A Few Reasons Why!

The old saying, Look Good Feel Good also rings true when it comes to the gear you work out in with the only decision most gym goers making is should they look to prioritise comfort or fashion? The truth is that it will always be personal choice as you will always see both sides of the coin in a gym where you will have people wear matching tops bottoms and trainers and others with a pair of compression leggings to help aid with recovery after a hard session so I am always asked the question, do I really need to splurge on the best gear out there in order to get top results?

Well, the answer to that question is NO, you only get top results through effort and consistency but studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between what we wear and how we perform, as well as our motivation levels which brings us back to the old saying Look Good Feel Good.

Below are a few examples of how and why choosing the right gear could make all the difference.

1. Injury Prevention

Many sport injuries occur because of the lack of appropriate equipment, including clothes. Whichever activity you are engaged in, you should opt for the clothing for that sport, looking for something that provides ample protection against impact, strain, or overheating. If you are a runner you are not going to run 6 miles in a pair of flip flop nor would enter a sparring session without the proper gum shield or had wraps, there are a very limited number of people who make it as a professional in their given sport meaning most of us will train knowing we have a job to go to the next day so Injury prevention is a must. For all my hard sessions I wear a goon compression set which will help deliver oxygen to the muscles you are working educing fatigue and soreness by managing lactic acid accumulation, helping to improve power, endurance and recovery.

2. Durability
People don’t have a ton of money to continue paying out on gym gear leading many to shop the sale rack to get the gear that will never come near to the durability that you will need to get the most out of your purchase so it becomes a fine balance The right workout gear is typically going to be extra durable, allowing you to get plenty of use out of it so our advice would be find a product that doesn’t break your budget and do your research and don’t just get lazy and shop that sale rack because if you allow yourself to be lazy in picking out your training gear you give yourself the opportunity to be lazy in your training.

3. Wicking and Breathability
Since you will sweat quite a lot when you exercise you must ensure that the clothes that you buy is constructed from breathable fabrics. It must wick away moisture so that it keeps your body feeling dry and cool. Besides its sweat-wicking abilities, the performance fabric found in much of the Alpha Caveman Apparel line is also great because it won’t promote bacteria growth. Less sweat and bacteria growth means no more smelly workout clothes!

4. Confidence

There is a feel-good factor when you wear appropriate workout clothing. When you are comfortable in your clothing you can work out with ease and improve your performance giving a boost to your confidence level. The right Alpha Caveman outfits and attitude can make much difference and help you immensely. In the simplest terms, when you look good, you feel more confident, so investing in gym kit which makes you feel the part can help you to feel better in the gym and truly conquer a workout.

5. Motivation

According to a survey of 2,000 regular gymgoers, 9 out of 10 people feel motivated to break a sweat by simply putting on their workout gear. … “When we love our exercise clothes, it also encourages us to wear them more, which means we exercise more often. Your workout clothes do more than just make you look good, wearing the right fabric can also increase the efficiency of your sweat session. Different materials have different benefits, so you’ll want to figure out what you’re looking to get out of your gym wear. Remember Creating a positive, mindful experience starts with what you see in the mirror each day so Look Good, Feel Good!
